Writing for Suite101 has helped me a great deal. Although I wrote a weekly article for a publication several years ago, the restrictions were few. With Suite101 I'm learning to work inside parameters. Editors have rarely contacted me about my articles, but those that have helped me improve, not only the article in question but, my overall writing.

I write for Suite, too, and many writers there have a strong sense of community as well (the Suite forum! a great place to bounce ideas off each other and ask questions).
